Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her leading roles in the action movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. The majority of her childhood was located at Los Angeles where she came from a family of middle-class. The idea of instilling a love for films in her daughter was something that was a gift from her mother who also loved watching movies. Paula became involved in many activities at school that were co-curricular, but she had an interest in drama. Paula loved acting with friends, and she participated in school stage performances. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actress decided acting was her preferred career. As a student in a summer camp in the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She received a 3-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. As soon as she completed her three-month task successfully the first task was working in the production department of television documentaries. When she was done with her work then she began putting together documentary films. Her work was rewarding however, she always wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Her first acting gig came through a role as a support in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. She has appeared since in numerous films as well as TV series.
